Two Arrested in Bulawayo for Shocking ‘Sod0m & Gomorrah’ Attack on Defenseless 22-Year-Old Man

In a horrific incident that unfolded in Bulawayo, Old Magwegwe suburb, two men have been arrested for alleged act of ‘Sod0m and Gomorrah’ attack on a 22-year-old man.

The Disturbing Encounter

The distressing incident took place on August 15 at approximately 5:30 PM at a flat located in the city’s central business district. The two suspects, identified as Themba Nyoni (35) and Petros Tshuma (42), have been apprehended in connection with the crime.

A Deceitful Invitation

According to reports, the victim, who resides in Queens Park, encountered Nyoni after finishing his work. Nyoni enticed the victim by offering to show him where he lived, and unsuspectingly, the victim agreed to accompany him. They proceeded to a flat in the central business district, where Tshuma resided. Upon entering the premises, they began smoking dagga (marijuana), with Tshuma eventually leaving the apartment and locking the door behind him.

Coercion and Threats

Allegedly, Nyoni then pleaded with the victim to bed him, to which the victim initially refused. In an act of intimidation, Nyoni brandished an okapi knife, threatening to harm the victim. Out of fear, the victim succumbed to Nyoni’s demands and engaged in the alleged act.

A Disturbing Turn of Events

During the assault, Tshuma reentered the apartment briefly, remaining present before departing again and relocking the door after Nyoni had finished abusing the victim. Outside, Nyoni and Tshuma began assaulting the victim, accusing him of stealing their cellphones. Fortunately, a passerby intervened, preventing further harm to the victim.

Justice Sought

The incident was promptly reported to the police, leading to the arrest of both Nyoni and Tshuma. Confirming the incident, Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube issued a warning to the public.

“Police would like to warn the members of the public against committing crimes as the law will always catch up with them. The suspect will learn the hard way that failing to restrain oneself leads to prosecution,” Inspector Ncube stated.
