Tinashe Mutarisi trades corporate cap for Macheso, Freeman video

THE much awaited music video to Zim Dancehall superstar Freeman(real-name Sylvester Chizanga) and ace sungura musician Alick Macheso’s collaboration of the song Ngaibake has  been released on Wednesday.

The video has become an instant hit amassing close to three thousand views on You Tube, hours after its release.

It has emerged that businessman and Nash Paints founder Tinashe Mutarisi temporarily shelved his corporate cap for the pen as he is behind the concept and scripting of the smashing video.

The star studded video was directed by Blaqs and the Midas Touch of  John Cole on choreography.

It stars the controversial Mai Titi, Madame Boss, Miss Pryde and Enoch Chisale.

The song was produced at Sunshine Studio and is a perfect collaboration of best of both words bridging generations.

Freeman was clad in an all -black outfit, while Macheso was donning a floral summer shirt – a divorce from his traditional outfits.

In a case of art mirroring real life, there is a scene where Mai Titi and Madame Boss ‘fight’ and later reconcile as is the message behind the song.

The two socialites are known to be rivals with their relationship bordered on professional jealousy.

Despite of the urban touch in the video ,  Macheso had to fuse his signature Borrowdale dance moves .

Zim Morning Post could not immediately establish the production cost of the video but basing on the number of stars , it must have gobbled thousands of dollars.

Madam Boss alone charges an appearance fee of not less than USD500 according to quotations gleaned this publication.

The visuals were near flawless and there was no use of drones like most latest videos where producers seem to have an obsession with unnecessary use of latest technology without incorporating the creativity aspect.
