Heartbreaking Heist in Chitungwiza: Thieves Swipe Luxury BMW Outside Girlfriend’s Home

A 24-year-old man from Chitungwiza experienced a heartbreaking heist, losing his blue BMW 318i to thieves while parked outside his girlfriend’s home.

Takudzwa Glevan Chibora left his car unattended with the keys in the ignition while spending time with his girlfriend.

Vehicle Recovery, Phone Still Missing

Chibora, who had parked the car around 10 pm, returned to find both his car and an iPhone 12 PRO missing. Fortunately, the police were able to recover the vehicle the following day. It had been abandoned along Tilco Road in Chitungwiza.

However, the iPhone 12 PRO cellphone remains unrecovered. The vehicle has been taken to ZRP St Mary’s, according to Acting Harare provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa.

Mob Attack in Chitungwiza: Alleged Kidnapper Beaten

In a separate story, an unidentified man was attacked by a mob in Chitungwiza after being accused of kidnapping a three-month-old baby. The suspect attempted to flee on foot with the baby, but the crowd apprehended him and subjected him to a thorough beating.

Swift Action by the Public

The baby’s father was alerted by the sound of a closing door and quickly gave chase, calling for assistance. The enraged crowd joined the pursuit and unleashed their fury on the suspected kidnapper, inflicting serious head injuries.

Police Response

Following the incident, the injured suspect was taken to Chitungwiza Police Station. Acting Harare provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa, stated that she had not yet received an official report on the incident.
