Tenda-Phils & Pats Accident on Mutare Road Claims Four Lives

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed that four people lost their lives in the brutal Tenda-Phils & Pats accident that occurred along the Mutare Road near Mutangadura.

The Tragic Collision

According to the ZRP, the accident happened this afternoon at the 32-kilometer peg. A Tenda bus, traveling from Harare to Mutare, collided with a haulage truck and a Phils and Pats bus.

“The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred this afternoon at the 32 kilometre peg along Harare-Mutare Road near Mutangadura in which four people were killed when a Tenda bus collided with a haulage truck and a Phils and Pats bus,” the ZRP press release read.

Horrifying images circulating on social media showed the Tenda bus lying on its side, while the Phils and Pats bus had sustained significant damage to the front.

Aftermath and Response

The bodies of the four victims have been transported to the Marondera Provincial Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations. The injured passengers were rushed to Marondera Provincial Hospital and Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for medical attention.

The total number of passengers in the two buses is yet to be confirmed, and the ZRP has promised to release more details as the investigation progresses.
