THE Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Publicity, Nick Mangwana, says MDC leader Nelson Chamisa is free to join the on going Political Actors Dialogue (Polad), adding there is no room for another power sharing deal in Zimbabwe.
Speaking to Zim Morning Post, Mangwana said Polad was a platform to discuss political problems the country is currently mired in and not to share power.
“We had elections which were won by a party and its president.
“A dispute was registered and the matter taken to the highest court in the land (Constitutional court). The court made a ruling, hence we cannot continue meandering on that issue,” Mangwana said.

He further said: “You cannot, say after winning an election, decide to share power.
“That would be the most ridiculous thing ever heard of.”
Comments by Mangwana should come as a blow to MDC leader Nelson Chamisa as he has been pushing for an exclusive bilateral dialogue between his party and the ruling Zanu PF.
People’s hopes of a GNU had been ignited across the country after South Africa’s former President, Thabo Mbeki, arrived in Zimbabwe this week on a fact finding mission, with aim to understand the economic and political dilemmas in the country.
Many Zimbabweans have been hoping for a unity government, which they think will resuscitate the economy after the last union changed the lives of many.
The unity government of 2009 to 2013 saw the stabilisation of the economy and opening of schools and other institutions that had long stopped functioning.
