Marry Chiwenga approaches High Court for bail

MARRY Chiwenga (nee Mubaiwa), the estranged wife of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has intensified her fight for freedom and on Wednesday filed an application for bail at the High Court, exclusively for the attempted murder case.

With regards to charges of externalisation of funds, money laundering and fraud, Marry also appealed for the dismissal of her bail application by the lower court.

Meanwhile, more people are reportedly filing fresh complaints against her, including ex-husband Shingi Kawondera who claims that she connived with Registrar-General officials to falsify the identity of their 10-year old daughter, sired during the subsistence of their marriage.

He further claims that the marriage was annulled illegally after Marry forged signatures.

Marry is represented by top human rights lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa of Mtetwa and Nyambirai Legal Practitioners.
