Chitungwiza Woman Appears in Court for Murdering Married Man at Her House
Sharon Chidamba, a 40-year-old woman from Chitungwiza, appeared in court, accused of murdering a married man at her house during Christmas.
She appeared at the Chitungwiza Magistrates’ Court, where she was granted bail in the amount of US$100.

The Dispute and Fatal Incident
According to the State, a dispute erupted between Sharon and the late Edward Chakanetsa following a drinking session. Allegedly, during the altercation, Sharon attacked Chakanetsa using an unidentified object. This resulted in Chakanetsa’s skull being fractured, leading to his untimely demise.

Conflicting Statements and Suspicions
Prior to her arrest on January 6, Sharon was confronted by Chakanetsa’s relatives, who grew suspicious of her actions. It was reported that she provided conflicting accounts of the incident. In one alleged statement, Sharon claimed that Chakanetsa had consumed rat poison before she rushed him to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his condition.

Post Mortem and Foul Play
However, the family of the deceased decided to file a police report after the post-mortem examination revealed that Chakanetsa’s cause of death was the result of an attack with a blunt object. This revelation strengthened the suspicions of foul play surrounding the tragic incident.
