‘APA MUKURU KUNGORAMBA HAVO BUT VAKAFEMA’: Passion Java Takes a Swipe at President Mnangagwa After Election Triumph

Socilite and self-proclaimed prophet Passion Java has taken a swipe at President ED Mnangagwa following the announcement by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) that declared Mnangagwa as the winner of the presidential race. Java mocked Mnangagwa’s narrow victory, comparing it to a passing gas incident. In a statement, Java expressed disbelief, stating, “Apa mukuru ka, kungoramba havo kunzwisisa but vakafema.” It is worth noting that Passion Java actively campaigned for Mnangagwa during the election period.

President Mnangagwa’s Surprising Press Conference

In a surprising turn of events, President Mnangagwa held a press conference immediately after the announcement of the election results. Mnangagwa stated that there were no winners or losers in the elections, expressing gratitude to all the candidates who participated.

“I thank most heartly all those who contested in these elections in particular the presidential candidates. They are no winners or losers, but one united people of Zimbabwe,” stated ED.

He emphasized the need for unity among the people of Zimbabwe, highlighting their shared identity.

Chamisa Raises Concerns and Calls for Change

Advocate Nelson Chamisa, leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), criticized the electoral process, raising serious doubts about its integrity. Chamisa claimed to possess evidence in the form of V11 and V23B forms, which allegedly showed different results from those announced by ZEC. He voiced his firm commitment to bringing about change in Zimbabwe, asserting that a power shift was imminent.

Observers Highlight Credibility Concerns

Various election observers, including the Southern African Development Community Election Observer Mission (SEOM), expressed concerns about the credibility of the elections. SEOM stated that the polls did not meet regional and international standards for free, fair, and credible elections.
