No sanctions for Billiat after he provides no excuse for missing flight twice

No sanctions for Khama

Zimbabwe national football team coach has become a figure head with star players behaving unprofessionally with impunity.

Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat who had been scheduled to arrive in the country on Monday somehow missed his flight before missing his flight again on Tuesday afternoon.

At each turn he failed to give a valid excuse, players that spoke to Kukurigo Sport said.

This comes as Nakamba, Lunga and Hedebe partied all night, while the rest of the squad was in camp before the Malawi friendly.

“Just look at what happened with Khama recently. He missed his flight twice, giving flimsy excuses but there is no sanction and the whole entourage had to delay waiting for him. It’s player power,” a player said.

The Warriors face Algeria tonight at 8pm (9pm CAT) at 5 July 1962 Stadium in Algiers, and four days later at the National Sports Stadium Harare.

The Desert Foxes are unbeaten in their last 20 games in all competitions in a period stretching two years.

Algeria tops Group H with maximum six points, two more than Zimbabwe. Botswana and Zambia follow with one and zero points respectively.
