A Bulawayo woman Sithandazile Ncube (20), scalds sleeping boyfriend Tofara Masendu,(28) with boiling cooking oil. This incident occurred after Masendu had assaulted his girlfriend following a fight about alleged infidelity.
Relationship Fallout Over Alleged Cheating
According to a close source, the couple was reclining on their bed when Masendu discovered explicit conversations on Ncube’s phone with another man, fueling his suspicion of infidelity. Accusing her of cheating, Masendu confronted Ncube, leading to a heated exchange of words, reported bmetro.

The argument quickly escalated, with Masendu resorting to physical violence. Witnesses reported that he grabbed Ncube, throttled her, and subjected her to a barrage of punches and kicks all over her body. Masendu berated her for disrespecting him and betraying their relationship.

Following the disturbing incident, Masendu reported the assault at Bulawayo Central Police Station, leading to Ncube’s arrest. Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident, expressing concern over the escalation of violence within relationships.
