From Landlord to Tragedy: Caretaker Found Hanging from Tree In Borrowdale Following Theft Allegations
In a tragic turn of events, a caretaker, Isaac Nyamazana (24), was discovered hanging from a tree along Carrick Creagh Road in Borrowdale yesterday morning. Prior to his death, Isaac was facing theft charges and was scheduled to appear in court.
Accusations of Property Theft
According to Alice Marufu, Isaac’s live-in lover, he had been involved in the illicit sale of his employer’s possessions. Isaac had reportedly rented out his employer’s cottage and sold various items, including solar panels, doors, and electrical goods.
“Isaac rented out the cottage to a tenant in May, and sold his employer’s property, which included solar panels, doors and electrical goods,” said Alice.
Unveiling of Deception
The truth behind Isaac’s actions came to light when a dispute erupted between him and the tenant renting the cottage. The tenant, upset by an unexpected rent increase, lodged a complaint with the property managers. To their astonishment, they discovered that Isaac had been accommodating a tenant without authorization.
“His shenanigans came to light when he clashed with the tenant after increasing the rent. The tenant went to the property managers to make a complaint, and they were shocked that Isaac was accommodating a tenant at the house. He was expected to answer the charges today (yesterday),” stated Alice.
Mysterious Car and Disrupted Relationships
Isaac had recently purchased a Nissan Xtrail, which he parked at his employer’s house on Wheeldon Road, reported hmetro. The vehicle was found loaded with some of the stolen goods, further implicating Isaac in the thefts. Neighbors revealed that Isaac had expelled his wife from their home a month prior, opting to live with Alice following the acquisition of the car.
Investigation and Mortuary Proceedings
Following the discovery of Isaac’s body, the police intervened and transported it to Parirenyatwa Hospital mortuary. The investigation into the alleged thefts will continue as authorities piece together the events leading up to this shocking incident.
