Dynamos FC’s Dramatic Move: Head Coach Maruwa Sacked Over Poor Performances!
Dynamos Football Club has made the decision to part ways with head coach Herbert Maruwa following a string of unsatisfactory performances.
Maruwa Falls Short of Expectations
After being given a five-game ultimatum, Maruwa’s tenure as coach was cut short after just one match, reported 263Chat. The team’s goalless draw against Hwange on Sunday proved to be the final straw for the club.
Dynamos’ Position in the League
Currently occupying the fourth position in the league after 18 games, Dynamos has recorded 7 wins, 8 draws, and 3 losses.
Maruwa’s Qualifications and Career
Maruwa, also known as “Jompano,” holds a CAF A License, which he obtained in 2014 during his time as the Dynamos juniors coach. He played a pivotal role in grooming notable players such as Partson Jaure, Blessing Moyo, King Nadolo, and Brian Chinhoyi.
However, Maruwa’s coaching career has seen its fair share of ups and downs. He was previously dismissed by Black Rhinos in July 2022 due to alleged misconduct during match days, which tarnished the club’s image.
Reports suggest that Maruwa engaged in “juju” rituals and disregarded advice from colleagues to refrain from such behavior. He was subsequently replaced by Black Rhinos legend Stanford Mtizwa, known as “Stix.”
Maruwa’s coaching stints also included Mbabane Highlanders in Swaziland, where he reached a mutual agreement with the club to part ways. He later joined Black Rhinos as the replacement for Stanford Mtizwa.
Dynamos’ Search for a New Coach
Dynamos FC seeks a new coach after Maruwa’s exit. The club assesses options while fans crave success and advancement in the league.
