Suspended Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) general manager David Chawota who is jointly charged with the director of legal services in the ministry of transport and infrastructural development Angeline Karonga on corruption charges has been granted $2000 bail under unclear circumstances.
Last week he was denied bail as the State argued that he had propensity of interfering with witnesses.
His bail comes on the backdrop of shade that was thrown on the local judiciary that saw the Special Anti Corruption Unit in President Mnangagwa’s office requesting for investigation of a Harare magistrate last week.
