MARK Harrison has been appointed Highlanders technical manager with immediate effect pending granting of a work permit by authorities.
Harrison takes over from Dutch coach Hendrik Pieter de Jongh who declined a contract extension with Bosso opting to join FC Platinum whom he described as more ambitious.
In a statement Wednesday morning, Highlanders Executive Chairman Kenneth Mhlophe said Harrison will work with the existing club technical structures and general staff.
These include juniors, developmental teams and first team coaches.
“Considering our philosophy as a club and his style of football, he emerged as the best institutional fit candidate to take up the huge responsibility. He signed a two year contract which will run up to December 31 2021,” Mhlope said.
Harrison holds a UEFA A and CAF A badges and previously coached Oxford United and Stafford Rangers in the United Kingdom.
He has also coached Mpumalanga Black Aces and African Warriors before spells with CAPS United and Harare City.
