MUSICIAN Njabulo Nkomo better known by his moniker Tytan has made startling revelations that he was a victim of domestic abuse in his just ended marriage to socialite Olinda Chapel, Zim Morning Post has learnt.
Tytan made the shocking revelations in a statement released Wednesday where he officially communicated the end of his drama filled marriage to Olinda.
“I am receiving support from a strong legal team and domestic abuse services,” Tytan said.
The power couple made headlines last month when the poster boy was caught in a cheating storm but Olinda forgave him and said she was resorting to an ‘open relationship’
“Our relationship has sadly ended due to a catalogue of events that took place in July 2019,” Tytan stated.
Nkomo stated that he will give full details concerning their relationship’s breakdown after following the rightful proceedings.
The spectacle of the end of the two’s relationship continues to unwind after Tytan unfollowed and deleted Olinda’s pictures from his instagram account.
He also posted a picture on instagram three days ago without his wedding ring which raised eyebrows .
Olinda explained that her seemingly mental instability was a result of post natal depression after giving birth to a daughter whom the couple named Nandi.
There has been speculation that the messy break up might result in Tytan facing deportation from their United Kingdom base since his residence status in that country was based on spousal benefit.
Olinda has been resident in UK for several years where she has lucrative interests in the medical field and also runs several philanthropic projects.
The marriage has been under the spotlight because of the circumstances under which the two hooked up.
Tytan ‘snatched’ Olinda from fellow rapper Desmond Stunner Chideme after she accused him of cheating.
Olinda thus becomes unlucky in love as all the men in her life end up cheating on her and it is not clear what could be the ‘push factor’ or her possible deficiency in some areas expected of a woman- money is certainly not one of them!
The Houghton Park bred free spirited belle has a penchant of sharing her private life on social media through live videos and this unwarranted attention seeking behaviour has contributed to her seemingly lousy love life.
Although he has worked behind the scenes in media circles and event management, the Waterfalls bred ‘ladies man’ is known to be media shy and only shared details of his love life after being prompted by Olinda.
Now that Tytan has revealed that he was a victim of abuse, it opens a can of worms for men who are abused silently and fear the perceived societal norms.
Strong as he is , Stunner might have been a victim too who only clinged on the marriage for material benefit which has become his ‘modus operandi’ of dating wealthy women, with Pokello Nare’s name easily coming into mind.
