Dynamos and Highlanders, who are enjoying a huge war chest from energy giant Sakunda Holdings, are set to battle it out in the Independence Cup at Babourfields in Bulawayo.
Last September, the two giants who were already fading, went into a partnership with Sakunda Holdings, who unveiled a combined sponsorship package of about US$5,3 million.
The two clubs were guaranteed to receive US$890 000 each for salaries, bonuses and signing on fees, per season.
The deal came at a time when Bosso was struggling to pay their players.
The structure of the pact saw Sakunda Holdings providing US$420 000 towards the payment of salaries for players and the technical team.

This Uhuru Cup is of sentimental value to the two giants who have also struggled to win any silverware in recent seasons.
Dynamos spokesperson, Tinashe Farawo, said this match is of sentimental value to the Glamour Boys and gave an appreciation to Sakunda holdings their principal sponsors.
“This match is of sentimental value, a lot of blood was spilled during the liberation struggle, we are going to give it all to win this Cup, we all say kudos to our sponsors Sakunda holdings who have managed to steady the ship. We are no longer experiencing the problems of the past,” Farawo told this publication.
Farawo also called for the Glamour boys fans to fill up Babourfields.
“We call upon our fans to come and paint Bulawayo blue,” he added
Bosso Chief Executive Officer Ronald Moyo said the Bosso family is happy to host Dynamos in a fixture he termed ‘not ordinary’.
“We are happy that it will be played at Barbourfields Stadium.
“Everyone at Highlanders is looking forward to this big match. Remember this is not an ordinary fixture, it is the flagship match of Zimbabwean football, so we shall all be reminded once again, of the beauty of Zimbabwean football when the two giants clash,” Moyo said.
Dynamos is currently sitting on position two , one point shy from log leaders Chicken Inn FC with Bosso currently on the 9th position.
