TWO Harare men will spend the next 26 years behind bars after they were found guilty and convicted in relation to three counts of car robberies.
Patson Nyamande (23) and Dean Bwanawasa (24) were sentenced to 26 years in prison by Harare regional magistrate Nyasha Vitorini after they robbed seven people of their vehicles on different occasions.
The pair was found guilty after a fully contested trial.
Prosecutor Idah Maromo pleaded with the court to hand down a deterrent penalty in order to warn other would be offenders.
Nyamande and Bwanawasa were convicted by the State on three counts of car robberies and were sentenced to 26 years in jail each.
