Harare City Council amenities manager Lisben Chipfunde has been reinstated to his position after he was suspended on accusations of gross incompetence.
Chipfunde, together with three other unidentified senior employees, was recently suspended for gross incompetence.
His suspension was lifted unconditionally following thorough investigations that cleared him of the accusations.
“Pursuant to my letter dated August 26, 2019 to yourself, you are hereby advised that your suspension from employment is hereby lifted with immediate effect.
“This follows investigations into allegations of misconduct that were levelled against you, investigations whose results cleared you,” wrote acting human capital director Matthew Marara.
Chipfunde was on Wednesday reinstated without any loss of salary or any other change in his benefits.
“Mr Chupfunde was reinstated without any loss of salary, benefits or any change in his conditions of service,” said an insider.
