Self proclaimed prophet, Passion Java takes a sly dig at Temba Mliswa after he concedes a defeat in Norton paliamentary seat. The clip follows the alleged release of an audio recording where Mliswa supposedly admits to the possibility of defeat. Mliswa was contending against Richard Tsvangirai, son of the late former Prime Minister Morgan Richard Tsvangirai.
Mliswa’s Independent Candidacy
Temba Mliswa, known for his outspoken nature, had been contesting as an independent candidate, without any affiliation to a political party. However, his association with Passion Java, who was campaigning for Zanu PF presidential candidate ED Mnangagwa, added a layer of intrigue to the election race.
Encouraging Supporters in the Audio
In the leaked audio, Mliswa can be heard addressing his supporters, urging them not to be disheartened by the election results. He emphasizes that he has accepted the possibility of defeat and encourages his team, known as “Team Bhuru,” to remain resilient.
“Team Bhuru, how are you. I hope you’re doing well. Please ndinokumbirawo kuti don’t be discouraged. Ndofanha kukuudzai sevanhu vandashanda navo kuti I have coincided a defeat, ndabvuma defeat. Ndohurongwa hwaMwari ndozvaaidawo. Inini hapana kana chandinoshushikana nacho, I want you to know that,” stated Mliswa.
Mliswa’s Complaint Against FAZ Forever Associates Zimbabwe
Prior to the audio leak, Mliswa had raised concerns about the alleged interference of FAZ Forever Associates Zimbabwe (FAZ) in the election process. In his statement, Mliswa lamented the nation’s failure to unite around national issues due to polarization. He criticized entities like FAZ for tarnishing the country’s reputation and announced that all parties in Norton, except ZANU PF, had resolved to exclude FAZ from the electoral process.
