President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to appoint an acting youth league boss as soon as possible, the Zimbabwe Morning Post has learnt.
A lot of names have been thrown on who will replace the under fire Pupurari Togarepi who is being accused of not defending the ruling party and its leader.
Zanu PF insiders said Togarepi and his entire executive were booted out after failing to stamp their authority and run with “Mnangagwa’s vision.”
“The entire executive has been too lazy to push the president’s agenda as well as his policies,” said the source adding “The boys were now enjoying the luxuaries that come with such positions and forgot that there was work to be done.”
“We all miss the vibrancy of the “ousted Kudzanai Chipanga youth league. It was in the wrong basket but we all agree they knew what they were doing in terms of defending the party.
Some of the names who are being tipped to take over the Youth league include Deputy Minister of Information Energy Mutodi who confirmed his interest on his twitter account, Gokwe Nembudziya Member of Parliament but he has not confirmed
