The Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commision (ZACC) has assured the public that they will descend upon perpertators of corruption from National Social Security Authority (NSSA) and those implicated in the Auditor General Mildred Chiri’s audit report but they need time to conclude investigations and ensure efficient justice delivery.
ZACC was responding to loud voices of citizens who said the NSSA audit report was untouchable.
“Most people and those raising concern on our action regarding the NSSA report and the AG report. We have these and we are working flat out to conclude investigations and allow the law to take course. It’s a process, one that will yield results” wrote ZACC on its official twitter page.
The first high profile arrest was done on Thursday morning with cabinet minister Priscilla Mupfumira being the victim.
She is expected to appear in court on Friday and should she be convicted, a vacancy will be open in the cabinet with some names already been thrown in for potential candidates.
