‘Marry’ festive for Mubaiwa, Second Lady causes a stir at court in glamorous outfit

VICE president Constantino Chiwenga’s estranged wife, Marry Mubaiwa maybe miles away from her luxurious home in Borrowdale Brook and caged, but she is still being treated like a queen.

Despite been a ‘person of interest’, it appears she still had a ‘Marry Christmas’ behind bars-  as remnants of the goodies she was served could be witnessed at the court grounds.

A crate full of empty bottles of soft drinks could be seen being carried by fellow inmates who obviously viewed her as their Messiah.

She arrived at the Harare magistrates’ court on Monday with fellow inmates carrying her refreshments and bags for her.

Marry even had a new hairstyle and fancy looking clothes.

It seems unquestionable that Mubaiwa might get “VIP justice” as l would call it considering her status and husband’s post in the government.

Although the government has been touting about ‘no one is above law’, the verdict of Marry’s case will test the commitment, or it could be just political banter.

She has been battling to get bail and waits a High Court ruling Tuesday.

In colloquial language, prison is  often referred to as ‘college’, but her experience should be that of a ‘private college’ .

She looked dapper in light weight pink chiffon and long black dressed, laced with a little gold on either side.

Nature however knows no VIP, the sight of her legs and arms was sad .

They are in a bad state as they swollen and fresh wounds on her arms.

The VP’s estranged wife was arrested on December 14 on allegations that she attempted to murder her husband as well as externalising foreign currency.

She is being held at the Chikurubi Female Prison.

Mubaiwa was remanded in custody  to January 14, 2020.
