An awareness campaign which was being carried out by Silveira House and other invited organization mainly in the Mutoko District and Matabeleland South has ended in a glorious mood.
The project kicked-off under the theme “Education awareness on Safety, Health and Environment issues”
The project has left many miners with a smiling face since it was designed to uplift the community and miners at large.
Silveira House is known across the world, in Africa the organization has improved lives through its trainings, seminars and different workshops.
In an interview with Zim Morning Post, one miner who owns three different mines in Matabeleland South, Priscilla Masuku, said the campaign brought by Silveira House and its facilitators transformed the miners.
“My attendance at this campaign brought by Silveira House was a great blessing. We learned lots of things which l believe is going to change our entire perspective in the mining sector.”
“As women, it has never been an easy road in mining but with this campaign on issues of Safety, Health and Environment, we have been greatly empowered.”
The organization came up with this campaign plan with a mind of empowering the community and small-scale miners.
Silveira House is an organization that focuses on building a confident society as well as a well-organized miner.
An interview with Silveira House Project Officer Zandi Mvududu has revealed that the organization has people at heart.
She said, “we are excited to learn that people in Mutoko District and Matabeleland Province received our campaign with an honest heart.”
“Our contribution to the society does not end here, more is to come.”
She further congratulated the invited facilitators for making it to the event.
“I am greatly honored by all our invited facilitators, and l believe our journey together has just started.”
Silveira House came into being in 1964 and the organization by then focused more on Civic education.
The organization wanted to promote and encourage Africans to participate in all relevant aspects of life, the economic aspect (system) being the main one.
