KWEKWE, Zimbabwe — United Family International Church founder Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife, Ruth, will headline the Apostolic Summit 2026 in Kwekwe, an annual Christian gathering that organizers say has become a major religious event in the Midlands city.
The conference, hosted by New Creation Life Ministries International (NCL) at the Life Centre in Mbizo, will bring together worshippers from across the country for religious teachings, prayer and musical performances.
Makandiwa’s participation carries particular significance for NCL leader Joy Museba, who is regarded as one of the prominent preacher’s spiritual sons.
The relationship stretches back several years, with Makandiwa providing spiritual mentorship and guidance to Museba. His previous appearances in Kwekwe have reinforced ties between the two ministries.
Organizers have described the summit as one of Kwekwe’s most significant Christian gatherings, attracting visitors who also contribute to the local economy.
According to the organizers, previous editions have drawn enough visitors to fill accommodation facilities, while businesses including restaurants, clothing shops, salons and fuel stations have benefited from increased activity.
They say most lodges are already fully booked ahead of this year’s gathering.
The summit will also feature free musical performances by gospel artists Mathias Mhere, Blessing Jeduthun, Batsirai Shasha, Prince Kayz, Joyfull Praise and The Unveiled.
The event is expected to draw large crowds to the Life Centre, which has hosted previous editions of the conference.
For NCL, Makandiwa’s return represents more than another appearance by a prominent religious leader, with the ministry presenting the gathering as a homecoming rooted in longstanding spiritual ties between Makandiwa and Museba.
