Lupane Predator Convicted of Molesting Mentally Challenged Blind Woman
A predator from Lupane has been arrested and convicted for molesting a mentally challenged woman who is also blind, deaf, and dumb.
The Horrifying Encounter
According to the reports, the harrowing incident took place on the 24th of June, 2024, around 8 pm. The 38-year-old victim had retired to bed after finishing her supper with her mother. After sleeping for some time, she went outside to the toilet. It was at this moment that the 27-year-old predator, upon realizing the woman’s vulnerability, decided to enter her bedroom.

Caught in the Act

The woman, upon returning to her bed, found the predator already nestled under her blankets. To her horror, she found herself being molested countless times. Just then, the woman’s brother arrived and made a disturbing discovery. Shining his flashlight, he was confronted with the sight of the predator in the midst of assaulting his sister.
Justice Served
The predator attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by the woman’s brother. He then took him to the police station where he was apprehended. An examination was conducted, and the results confirmed the woman’s assault, as semen was discovered on her private parts.

Severe Punishment

The predator appeared before the Hwange Magistrate Courts facing rape charges and was found guilty. He was sentenced to 24 months in prison.

“The accused person was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment for unlawful entry and 20 years imprisonment for rape. He will serve 22 years effectively,” read the NPAZ press statement.
