Late Snooker Game Nightmare: Husband Attacked by Angry Wife Over Late Return from Pool Game
A 27-year-old wife, Patience Nkiwane, from the Mzilikazi suburb in Bulawayo, left her husband nursing a head injury after she allegedly attacked him for arriving home late from a snooker game.
Accusations and Physical Abuse
Nkiwane appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Maxwell Ncube, where she faced charges of physical abuse. She pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of US$50, with the case adjourned until February 19.
Late Night Altercation
According to the allegations, on February 3, 2024, around 11 PM, Nkiwane confronted Muarangandi as he returned from a snooker game. The situation quickly escalated as Nkiwane resoundingly slapped her husband.
Instead of resolving the matter through dialogue, Nkiwane’s anger seemed to grow, leading to a series of whip-like slaps targeting Muarangandi. The altercation escalated further when Nkiwane pushed him to the ground and proceeded to straddle him.
A Brutal Attack
Nkiwane grabbed a stone and repeatedly struck her husband on the head. The assault caused cuts and injuries, prompting Muarangandi to seek medical attention at Mpilo Central Hospital.
Legal Consequences & Ongoing Legal Proceedings
The matter was reported to the police, leading to Nkiwane’s subsequent arrest. A medical examination at the hospital produced a report that served as evidence in court.
While Nkiwane maintains her plea of not guilty, the court will continue to examine the evidence and testimonies to determine the appropriate legal outcome.
