Dynamos gaffer Lloyd Chigowe better known by his moniker Mablanyo described his charges as ‘tigers and wild horses’ who are unpredictable after dismissing Caps United 2-0 in a tightly contested match at National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
“I have assembled a team of tigers and wild horses, this team is so unpredictable though this game is different from the league where we are going to play 38 games,” said the Dynamos gaffer.
Chigowe also said that Dynamos lads should not be carried away by the win against Caps United .
“Caps (United) are the real deal in terms of opposition and I am happy we won. However, we must not be carried away. It’s only a preparatory match, but it’s a morale booster for the players. It also serves to remind the fans that their team is back. I like the spirit, the resilience, it gives us hope, but of course there is a lot of work that needs to be done,” said Chigowe.
However Chigowe’s counterpart Lloyd Chitembwe blamed lack of match fitness as their set back in the Harare derby.
“It’s down to lack of match fitness and resilience. It was easy to see that Dynamos have played more games than us, so we were a bit slow, but by playing three or four games by March 30 we should be ready. It was a good practice match and there are a lot of positives we have seen. We were attending to some aspects which we think are more important at this stage,” said the 2016 coach of the year.
Dynamos got their two goals from ageless striker Edward ‘Duduza’ Sadomba and new signing Ngandu Mangala who both gave a torrid time to Caps United defenders.
Mangala and Sadomba combined very well in front of goal and this was met with jubilation from Dynamos faithfuls.
Dynamos staunch supporter Tinashe Chakadza said that with such performance, Dynamos will be difficult to beat this season.
“This performance will attract us supporters to come and rally behind our club this season, I tell you it will be difficult to beat Dynamos this season,”said Chakadza.
The Premier Soccer League kicks off on March 30.
