‘Chamisa is my Mentor’: Former CCC Spokesperson, Ostallos, Admits to Emulating Chamisa’s Persona
Gift Ostallos Siziba, the former deputy spokesperson of the CCC, has openly admitted to emulating his mentor Advocate Nelson Chamisa’s persona.
Chamisa, the ex-president of CCC and the organization’s founder, recently resigned, citing infiltration from the ruling party.
Emulating Chamisa as Mentor
During an interview with the Dj Ollah 7 podcast, Siziba was asked if he admits to mimicking President Chamisa, as many people believe. He openly admitted that he does indeed emulate him, as Chamisa has been a close mentor and a stranger who became like a brother to him.
Siziba expressed admiration for Chamisa’s youthful political journey, starting from his days as Minister of ICT. He cited his energetic performance in government as an inspiration to many young stars he worked with at UZ. “President Chamisa is my mentor. Many of us young stars genuinely emulate him. We were drawn to his youthful politics,” stated Ostallos.
Addressing Relationship Allegations
Siziba was also questioned about allegations regarding his relationship with Chamisa’s wife. He firmly denied any biological relationship, stating, “I have no biological relationship with the first lady.” However, he acknowledged that they had worked together in the civic society in the past, where she was known for her unwavering dedication and authenticity within the organization.

Political Resignation and Reasons
The resignation of former President Chamisa from the political organization was a significant event. In his resignation letter, he attributed his decision to the infiltration of the ruling party and the actions of Secretary Sengezo Tshabangu, who conducted recalls of elected officials.

The recalls caused instability within the organization, prompting Chamisa to step down.
