Beitbridge Brawl Turns Bloody: Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Donkey Cart Dispute
A Beitbridge man has been arrested for attempted murder following a heated dispute over a donkey-drawn cart with his neighbor.
Dispute Over Borrowed Donkey Cart
According to reports, Secret Nyathi approached his neighbor who had borrowed his donkey-drawn cart earlier. The cart was not working well, and Nyathi wanted to know the cause of the fault. However, the neighbor’s explanation did not satisfy Nyathi, and it made him angry.

Violent Attack with Mopane Log
Nyathi then took a mopane log he had with him and started striking his neighbor. He struck the victim once on the forehead and twice on the back. The neighbor managed to escape and seek refuge at a nearby home, where he received assistance before being taken to the police station, leading to Nyathi’s arrest.

Karoi Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Molesting Ex-Wife
In another story, a Karoi man was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for molesting his ex-wife in their old bedroom.
Incident Occurred During Belongings Retrieval
According to court records, the incident occurred on April 25th, 2024. On that day, the woman went to her ex-husband’s home with her uncle to retrieve her belongings. When they arrived, the ex-husband requested a private conversation with his former spouse in the bedroom.

Violent Attack in the Bedroom
Upon entering the bedroom, he then locked the door and dragged her onto his bed. They started wrestling on the bed until he overpowered her. He then molested her once before the uncle and other neighbors could hear the noise from her screams.

Police Intervention and Arrest
The uncle and neighbors attempted to open the door but were unsuccessful. They then called the police, who managed to rescue the woman and arrest her ex-husband.
