EXPELLED Zanu PF youth league secretary for commissariat, GodfreyTsenengamu has officially quit politics to redirect his energy towards creating a corruption free society, Zim Morning Post can report.

In an interview with Zim Morning Post on  Tuesday, Tsenengamu said he will champion his new organisation Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Citizens Taskforce. (Zim-ACCT).

The mandate of the organisation is to push for a corruption free society in the face of the rent seeking economy prevailing in the country.

I’m no longer concerned about politics and I’m leaving politics completely, and only spearheading for economic development,”

Tsenengamu said his movement  advocates a corrupt free nation and prosperous Zimbabwe.

The defiant Tsenengamu turned down the ruling party directive to go to the Chitepo School of Ideology.

“I was instructed to attend 5 day Basic Course at Chitepo Ideological College from today till Friday before the 3 month course in April.

My response – HANDIDI,” he wrote on his Facebook wall.

The directive came as a recommendation by ZANUPF’s Politburo after Tsenengamu and former deputy Youth Affairs Secretary Lewis Matutu held a press conference accusing President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s close allies of corruption.

Tsenengamu’s expulsion is the  second time in less than 5 years.

His name will remain etched in the books of history for being the first party member to be expelled under the new dispensation.

He was once shown the exit door during the late former President Robert Mugabe’s reign in 2015 for attacking the party leadership on social media as well abusing party resources.

The sacking of Tsenengamu follows last month’s suspension of the secretary for youth affairs Pupurai Togarepi and his deputy Lewis Matutu for indiscipline.
