According to the police, the thieves had been using different methods to steal from their victims, such as snatching bags, phones, wallets, and laptops. They had also been involved in carjacking, smash-and-grab, and hit-and-run incidents. The thieves had been using a silver Honda Fit car as their getaway vehicle, which they had stolen from its owner.

The police said they received a tip-off from a member of the public who noticed that the Honda Fit car had different number plates on different occasions. The police then tracked down the car and found it parked at a shopping center in Avondale. The police also found several number plates, screwdrivers, sticky pads, and drill bits inside the car.

The police then laid a trap for the thieves and waited for them to return to the car. When the thieves came back, they were surprised by the police and tried to flee. However, they were quickly apprehended and arrested.

The police said they recovered several stolen items from the thieves, including cell phones, laptops, bags, wallets, and cash. They also said they linked the thieves to several cases of theft and robbery that had been reported in Harare.

The police urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious vehicles or activities to the police. They also advised the public to use secure parking facilities and avoid leaving valuables in their cars.Watch the video of ZRP officers interrogating the suspected robbers below:
