Warriors will win: Government

The Zimbabwe Government still has hope and faith that the Warriors will progress to the next stage despite the fact  that they only have one point in two matches played so far

Speaking to Zim Morning Sport Acting Minister of acting Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Kazembe Kazembe said that he still believes the warriors will be in the knockout stages.

Kazembe also complained that Warriors gave too much respect to opponents something which is not good in football.
“Our national team has the potential to go far in this tournament. We have the talent. For some reason we seem to lack self belief. Egypt was not supposed to beat us. The worst result was supposed to be a draw, we were supposed to beat Uganda. We were the better team, we created clear chances.
“We seem to give too much respect  to other teams ,otherwise we have talented players , with the quality we have we should be able to beat DRC all we need is the right mentality and self belief,” added Kazembe.

Kazembe went on to say that in Football luck is essential but he is hopeful that the warriors will go through .

“In football you also need luck to be on your side, it is very possible to progress to the next round,” Kazembe said

The Warriors will now need to beat D.R.C by at least three goals without having them responding and hoping that Egypt will overcome the Cranes on Sunday afternoon for them to go through to the next stage.
