Striking doctors vowed to defy the labour court order to return to work on Monday unless they strike a deal with government.
In a statement the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association (ZHDA) said their members remain incapacitated and have no resources to resume work.
“ZHDA has tabled a proposal to have on-call allowances reviewed monthly in accordance with the prevailing intermarket rate.
“While doctors would want to return to work…they continue to be incaoacitated and lack resources to comply with the labour court judgement,” reads the statement.
The labour court ruled that dictors should return to work within 48 hours or face disciplinary action.
ZHDA says it will appeal to the supreme court
