POLITICIAN and businessman Stan Kasukuwere is set to lose his household property after failing to service a debt with Metbank, Zim Morning Post has learnt.
The property will be sold at a public auction on August 2 in Mashonaland Central capital Bindura.
Kasukuwere, former Zanu PF national political commissar Saviour’s younger brother, will lose among other things three four-piece black leather sofas, one brown wooden display unit, one working bench with vice and two roller metal tank stands .
Kasukuwere owes Metbank an unspecified amount and the matter was heard under Case Number Hc3220/17 SWBN 57/28 and the property is in the care of Mutahiga Auctioneers based in Bindura.
Kasukuwere has been swimming in debt for the past four years where he has been embroiled in legal battles with different companies.
In 2016, Kasukuwere failed to account for $40K Youth Games funds.
He was accused of looting $40 000 disbursed by Government for the Zimbabwe National Youth Games held in Bindura in April 2016.
NMB Bank and other charity organisations paid for the trophies that were given to the winners and food for athletes and the $40 000 that was disbursed by the Sports and Recreation Commission was not accounted for.
In the same year ,Kasukuwere lost three tractors and other farming equipment that were auctioned over a fertilizer debt with Windmill (Pvt) Ltd.
