Egypt called, we answered, but ……

ZThe Warriors did not disappoint when they played with Congo Brazzaville on Sunday in the  much awaited crunch tie.

The victory came as a relief to the Cyclone Idai grief that gripped the nation.

The Warriors  secured a ticket to Egypt besides  the logistical glitches that the football mother body exposed them to.

Captain fantastic Knowledge Musona popularly known as Smiling Assassin made the nation smile when   he assassinated the Red Devils of Congo Brazzaville with an intelligent goal adding his name to the score sheet where Khama Billiat was the only occupant of that sheet that afternoon with his brilliant free kick.

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) was at it  again.

The football mother body blundered and opened  few entrances to accommodate the thousands of soccer loving Zimbabweans who graced the stadium.

An unidentified woman is believed to have passed on in the melee to gain entrance.

Sports analysts submitted that ZIFA should have opened all entrances to avoid stampede.

The chaos resulted in officials and members of the media barred from entering in the stadium.

ZIFA President Felton Kamambo said that he did not know about the treatment which journalist went through at the giant National  Sports Stadium and said the issue just came to his attention today (Monday).

“I  was not aware of what was going on to the members  of the media but I am very sorry for that treatment,” said Kamambo.

Asked on how many tickets ZIFA sold on the Congo Brazzavile vs Zimbabwe match, Kamambo referred all questions to Philemon Machana .

What boggles the mind is so Kamambo as the President does not know how many tickets were sold , Ayas, i can say that Chinhu (ZIFA)  Chaora ichi.

Anyway Machana’s phone is not reachable and  I am left with more questions than answers , is ZIFA hiding something on tickets sales?

ZIFA might face a huge penalty Confederation African Football for pitch invasion , Fans Invaded the pitch but surprisingly ZIFA  had security to bar journalists to go for Post match interviews but poor security to control the crowd.

Well done to the warriors!!!!, Shame on you ZIFA Good Morning Egypt!!’
