Prophet Uebert Angel has donated mealie-meal to Chitungwiza residents whose livelihoods have been affected by lock-down regulations induced by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The roll out is part if the US$1 million he set aside in March during the first lock-down.
Chitungwiza Mayor Lovemore Maiko received the truckloads of mealie-meal meant for vulnerable residents whose income has suffered haemorrhage due to Covid-19 induced lock-down.
The Uebert Angel Foundation has been on a countrywide crusade donating the goods.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Prophet Uebert Angel and the Uebert Angel Foundation (UAF) for remembering us today in Chitungwiza by feeding more than one thousand families, he is a giver,” Maiko said.
The foundation has already distributed mealie meal and groceries to places like Highfield, Glen View, Glen Norah, Mufakose, Kambuzuma, Mbare, Budiriro, Chitungwiza (twice), Zaka, Chiredzi, Norton (twice), Harare South, Bulawayo, South Africa, Hatfield and other other parts of Harare.Remote areas covered include Zvimba North, Zaka, Honde Valley and Mavingo among others.
In January Prophet Angel paid fees for students at Kadyamadare Primary School in the Chikwaka Communal Lands
The school has an enrollment of 800 pupils.
His foundation followed this up in February when they did the same for 1026 students at Bota Primary School in Masvingo, paying their school fees including levies – for the whole year.
