In a shocking development the national broadcaster Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation has suspended the authorisation of academic study leave to its employees forthwith,the Zim Morning Post can reveal.
A memo dated April 11 and authored by the company’s director of Human Resources Ms B Shumba states that the new human resources policy do not allow employees to attend block release studies nor managers allowed to authorise vacation leave for the purposes of studies.
The move will affect a large number of employees who are furthering their studies in a bid to move to greener pastures and leave the beleaguered national broadcaster.
