A new business association, Business Economic Empowerment Forum (BEEF) formed with an aim to collaborate with government to tackle a number of challenges facing the economy will this week launch its Mashonaland East provincial business structure.
BEEF is set to have its first Indaba this Friday 05 April 2019 in Marondera as a way to empower local business people in Mashonaland East Province.
Speaking to this publication the association’s president Solomon Matsa said the association’s mandate is to “Collaborate with the Government to tackle various challenges facing the economy.”
The entity seeks to bridge the gap between government and the business community while championing development across the country.
BEEF has already established its structures in Masvingo, Harare and Manicaland.
The association’s president is South African based businessman Solomon Matsa.
The other executive members include secretary general Gilbert Mafuku and Tinashe Gurajena who is the treasurer general.
According to Matsa the indaba scheduled for Friday is meant to give local business people a platform to share business ideas and experiences.
The dress code will be a black suit and the indaba shall be held at Hopefay Hotel in Marondera and it will start at 1730 hrs.
This year’s edition is running under the theme “Zimbabwe is Open for Business”
