AAG president Mike Chimombe arrested

Flamboyant Affirmative Action Group(AAG) president Mike Chimombe has been arrested for hosting a mid-night party attended by 300 people against COVID-19 health protocols.

Chimombe has been arrested for violating COVID-19 level 4 lockdown after hosting a lavish 40th birthday that had guests exceeding the prescribed limit.

Police spokesperson Paul Nyathi confirmed that he had been arrested along with Kudakwashe Chigodo (31) and Bruce Moyo (35) for violating Covid-19 regulations after they hosted a public gathering of 300 people from 9pm on September 4 to 3:30am on September 5.

Zim Morning Post understands the illegal party was held at 16 Stonechart Lane Park Lane in Borrowdale.

Chimombe’s arrest comes as his deputy at AAG, Passion Java caused a stir in  Glen View this week when he addressed hundreds of people at Glen View Area 8 carpentry site, in violation of Covid-19 health protocols.
