Zanu PF slam dialogue door on Kasukuwere
ZANU PF will not entertain calls for dialogue with members of the vanquished G40 or those expelled from the ruling party, spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa said on Monday.
Mutsvangwa laid into the party’s former Political Commissar Savior Kasukuwere saying his meeting with expelled Chivi South legislator Killer Zivhu and Independent Norton legislator Temba Peter Mliswa in South Africa was part of a desperate attempt to “smuggle back into political relevance.”
In a statement, Mutsvangwa described Kasukuwere as a “day dreamer” and the two former ZANU PF members as “two vain political pretenders and moonlighters”
“ZANU PF, the Party, and home of the Zimbabwe Revolution has noticed the attempt at grandstanding by an exiled erstwhile G40 figure who goes by the name Saviour Kasukuwere. He is a self-styled, self-imposed exile in South Africa,” said Mutsvangwa.
“He issued a statement in the wake of self-serving encounters with two vain political pretenders. Through this encounter Kasukuwere seeks to smuggle and snuggle back into political relevance onto the ongoing and unfolding drama of the glorious Zimbabwe Revolution led by H.E President Emmerson D Mnangagwa, the first secretary of the ruling ZANU-PF,” Mutsvangwa continued.
“Clearly, three years of exile after spectacular fall from political grace courtesy of the 2017 operation restore legacy have taken the toll on the mind-set of the exiled G40 Kingpin. Completely out of touch with the political realities of the Zimbabwe political scene, he now seeks relevancy through some two moonlighters and pretenders.”
“For the record, the President ED Mnangagwa has no need whatsoever of the purported and professed support of the three whistlers in the dark who wallow in the political darkness. He will win the by-elections and 2023 National elections on the basis of the ardent support of the Zimbabwe populace.”
In describing Mliswa, the ZANU PF Spokesperson said: “One of them is in limbo as a garrulous cantankerous political independent. A lost soul rapidly losing burnish”
On Zivhu he said, “The other moonlighter is a publicity seeking political adventurer who somehow thinks his stunts may win him followers in Masvingo Province”
Mutsvangwa said Mnangagwa will win the 2023 national plebiscite on the basis of an ardent support of the Zimbabwean populace.
