Zanu PF expels Killer Zivhu for ‘jumping the gun’ on social media

MOTORMOUTH Chivi South member of parliament Killer Zivhu was on Wednesday expelled from Zanu PF for allegedly ignoring party protocol through misguided social media rants, Zim Morning Post has learnt.

The decision was reached by the ruling party ‘s highest decision making body,Politburo,after recommendation from the National Disciplinary Committee (NDC). Zanu PF acting spokesperson Patrick Chinamasa made the announcement in Harare on Wednesday.

“The NDC recommended to the Politburo that Cde Killer Zivhu from Masvingo province be expelled and the Politburo upheld that recommendation and Cde Zivhu is expelled with immediate effect,” Chinamasa said.

An avid social media user,Zivhu stands accused of using the same platform to push for a meeting between First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa and MDC-Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa’s wife Sithokozile.
This was in pursuant of his plan to set an agenda for a dialogue between Mnangagwa and Chamisa.

He jumped the gun as this was against party protocol which has a clearly defined communication channel.
Zivhu is also notorious for using foul language on social media and has been warned several times.
In chats seen by this publication in a Zanu PF Masvingo provincial leadership What’s App group, Zivhu was unapologetic after the ‘dialogue rants’.
The ex-convict also has a penchant of flaunting his wealth on social media, raising the ire of some section of society.
Recently, a mansion alleged to belong to him, went viral on social media attracting unsavoury comments.
Zivhu rose to fame after he spearheaded the rights of cross border traders and used that platform to gain political clout where is believed to be darling of his constituents in Chivi South.
He is currently involved in land and property development in partnership with a local bank
