Zanu PF activist tightens screws on Kasukuwere presidential bid

ZANU PF activist Lovedale Mangwana has submitted an urgent court application to the Supreme Court.

The application aims to expedite the hearing and resolution of Saviour Kasukuwere’s appeal against the High Court’s ruling on July 12.

The High Court had disqualified Kasukuwere from the presidential race due to his failure to provide sufficient evidence of residency in Zimbabwe for a minimum of 18 months.

Mangwana’s argument in the application is centered on concerns that if Kasukuwere’s appeal, which temporarily halted the implementation of the High Court ruling, is not heard before the August 23 elections, it may compromise the election’s validity by allowing Kasukuwere’s participation.
