HARARE — Parliament of Zimbabwe will hold public interviews for candidates vying for positions as commissioners of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) on Thursday, 19 December 2024, at the New Parliament Building in Mt. Hampden.
This follows the expiration of the term of office for all current ZACC commissioners. The interviews are being conducted by the Committee on Standing Rules and Orders (CSRO), which invited public nominations and short-listed candidates in line with section 237(1) of the Constitution.
A total of 145 nominations were received, including 112 males and 33 females. From this pool, 47 candidates were selected for the final short-list. The interviews will begin promptly at 07:00 hours in Committee Room Number 1 at the New Parliament Building. Late arrivals will face automatic disqualification.
Candidates must assemble in Committee Room Number 3 by 07:00 hours, and all electronic devices, including mobile phones and laptops, must be surrendered to Parliament Security upon arrival. A valid national ID or passport is required for entry.
The public is invited to observe the interviews, and the proceedings will be live-streamed via ZOOM, Twitter, and Facebook, with links provided on the Parliament’s official website.
