MOBILE Network Operator (MNO) Telecel’s management reportedly convened a crisis meeting on Tuesday to solve the impasse between employees and management, Zim Morning Post has heard.
The employees this week registered their dismay over poor renumeration and incapacitation and were advised that Wednesday was their D-Day.
“Part of the management met to map way forward since they had promised to give feedback to disgruntled employees,” explained our inside source.
Management addressed employees at the company headquarters in Harare on Tuesday, but the meeting reached a deadlock.
Despite overwhelming evidence produced by our source, the MNO’s public relations office watered down the development.
“We are not aware of any management meeting .
“In fact there is no crisis at all and a director’s meeting was actually cancelled because one of the directors was attending a funeral,” said company spokesperson Farai Katiza.
Chief Executive Angeline Vere’s mobile phone was not reachable at the time of writing.
