Tanzania President Dr John Pombe Magufuli has arrived at Robert Mugabe International AirPort for a two day official state visit aimed at strengthening Zimbabwe – Tanzania relations.
He is expected to attend dinner tonight at the State House which will act as a launch-pad of placing Mnangagwa in the camp with corrupt-free leaders. This comes after Magufuli won Tanzania’s October 2015 presidential elections with a comprehensive anti-corruption manifesto.
Zimbabwe and Tanzania have always had cordial relations dating back to the days of the liberation struggle.
Magufuli’s visit comes at a time when the country is experiencing hyperinflation.
Relations between the two countries seem to be getting stronger as in February, Air Tanzania resumed direct flights to Zimbabwe as a way of boosting trade and commerce following close to two decades of having dumped the Zimbabwe route.
