Citizens Coalition for Change(CCC) Vice National Chairman and Zengeza West MP Job Sikhala has been denied bail for the sixth time.
Magistrate Taurai Manuwere Thursday ruled that there are no changed circumstances warranting Sikhala’s release on bail.
Magistrate Manuwere also said he cannot be swayed by public perceptions, referring to a petition signed by citizens in September demanding the unconditional release of Sikhala.
Sikhala was seeking bail on a charge of obstructing the course of justice over the 14 June Nyatsime violence.
The legislator was represented by human rights lawyer, Jeremiah Bhamu, who is instructed by the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights.
