KADOMA, Zimbabwe – Gospel musician Shamiso Charakupa has released her fourth studio album, The Mighty One, continuing a music career that has seen her steadily grow since she began recording in 2018.
The 36-year-old artist, originally from Chihota and now based in Kadoma, has made a name for herself in the gospel scene with uplifting and spiritually enriching songs. Her latest six-track album features The Mighty One with Minister Tafadzwa and Taropadzwa featuring Bethany Pasinawako Ngolomi. Other songs include Zita Renyu, Tichazoonana, Ndinzwe Nekufara, and Jesu Chiedza.
Charakupa’s catalog includes previous albums released in 2018, 2020, and 2022, alongside several standalone singles. Notable songs such as Handina Musha, Gore Zvarapera featuring Mostaff, Mufudzi Akanaka, and Mutsvene featuring Lensoman have showcased her lyrical depth and devotion. She has also collaborated with artists like Taku Vybx, T. Makwikwi, and Blessing, further cementing her influence in gospel music.
With The Mighty One, Charakupa, also known as mama Chikowore, continues her mission to inspire and uplift through music, reinforcing her position as a key voice in Zimbabwe’s gospel music landscape.
