South African Neil Schietekat, who won the FBC Zimbabwe Open yesterday at Royal Harare Golf Club despite shooting a final-round two-over-par 74, said it was the biggest victory of his career thus far.
Kieran Vincent, a professional golfer for Zimbabwe, shot a final-round level-par 72 at the FBC Zimbabwe Open to tie for sixth place and finish as the top-placed Zimbabwean.
The South African had to work for his victory after a difficult stretch on the back nine, where he had two bogeys and a double bogey on the par-four 10th hole.
Schietekat ultimately settled for a tournament total of 277 at 11 under par.
Vincent trailed the eventual winner Neil Schietekat by eight strokes.
