Midlands State University has suspended its January 2020 block release, visiting and weekend classes which were supposed to commence next week.

It’s reported that the suspension is due fees structures which are yet to be agreed upon.

This was communicated through a statement by the institution’s acting Deputy Registrar

“Notice is hereby given that the January 202 block release, visiting school and Weekend Classes have been suspended until further notice. Any inconveniences caused by these changes are sincerely regretted,” read the statement.

The Masters Social Sciences department had been pegged at $14, 500 ZWL, which had raised complaints from students.

Efforts to contact MSU Public relations Manager were fruitless as his mobile phone was not reachable.

Meanwhile some departments at the National University of Science and Technology have commenced their block release sessions while others are expected to start next week despite having no agreed tuition fees structure and there is a high possibility of suspending lectures.
