Preparations for Mine entra 2022 edition have reached fever pitch as ZIMSHEC board members called and encouraged every Artisanal Small-scale miner to attend.
This year’s Mine entra, where President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to officiate will kick off with a theme ‘Explore, Extract, Expand towards sustainable mining value chains.’
The country’s biggest mining, engineering and transport expo, mine entra, is happening this year after having taken a two-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In an interview with Zim Morning Post this week, the Executive Director of Zimbabwe Safety Health and Environmental council [ZIMSHEC], Makumba Nyenje revealed that, we are excited to be among the invited guests at this biggest conference.
“This is our first time to attend as ZIMSHEC and we are delighted because we are not just going to attend this year’s mine entra, but we are also going to be exhibiting”.
“We are greatly proud to be among those who will attend, this is indeed a great honor mainly to artisanal small-scale miners,” said Nyenje
He further indicated that, ZIMSHEC is ready and fully prepared for this year’s mine entra and hence believe that it’s a call to every artisanal small-scale miner to attend.
“We are well on cause in regards to the preparation of mine entra because, as we are speaking, we have managed to secure our own stand where will make sure that the key information that defines ZIMSHEC will be shared to every soul who is going to attend”.
“We believe that mine entra is here for us miners, whether small-scale miners, medium up to large scale-miners, we must all be fully prepared for this,” Nyenje said.
Further, ZIMSHEC’s programs Manger, Kundai Chikonzo urged all miners and members of ZIMSCHEC to be fully prepared for Mine entra, because it is a defining moment to ZIMSHEC and the mining community at large.
“We are an organization which focuses on Safety Health and Environmental issues and thus, we expect every member of ZIMSHEC to be geared up, let’s all be ready to preach and share the same message”.
“To every miner, with a mindset of doing better and excelling in the mining industry, mine entra is a solution to that, let’s all attend and to ZIMSHEC members, we are to be prepared to educate our fellow miners and spread the message of Safety, Health and Environment”. Said Chikonzo
Mine entra is Zimbabwe’s biggest, most reputable exhibition for the Mining, engineering and transport and their associated industries.
Meanwhile Midlands state University is preparing to train ZIMSHEC members on Safety, Health and Environmental issues [SHE] and the training is set to kick-off from 1st of August 2022.
